Blood Pressure Checks



Blood Pressure Checks Wheeling Township nurse Karen McNeir is at Pavilion the 4th Wednesday of the month at 11:30 a.m. or BP readings are taken at the Wheeling Fire Department, 499 S Milwaukee Avenue, anytime Firefighters/Paramedics are in quarters.

Illinois Benefits Application (Circuit Breaker Application)

 
 
New legislation now requires seniors to enroll in the Circuit Breaker program in order to participate in the Senior Ride Free program. After the approval of the state application, applicants will need a passport type head photo - 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 in color - Walgreen's or CVS provide this service.  Please call the Senior Center to make an appointment.

Library Lending Program



Indian Trails Library at Pavilion Senior Center Wed. 9:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. and Wheeling Tower Wed. 10:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. Come and meet our Librarian Abida Salahuddin.

Medical Lending Equipment



Medical equipment is available for Wheeling residents or Pavilion members. Medical Equipment is available for a loan of 60 days use and 30 days for wheelchairs. Please call The Pavilion Center at 847-459-2670 with your needs.

Memory Screenings (Appointments Only - 30 Minutes)



Memory Screening makes sense for anyone concerned about memory loss or experiencing warning signs of dementia, whose family and friends have noticed changes in them, or a related illness. Screenings also are appropriate for anyone who does not have a concern right now, but who wants to establish a base line score for comparison in the future.

Rules of the Road Class



AARP two day class or Secretary of State’s free refresher class for seniors renewing their driver’s license offered periodically. Check calendar of events for classes.

Senior Health Insurance Program Assistance (Ship)



The Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) is a free statewide health insurance counseling service for Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers.

Subsidized Taxi Program for Wheeling Residents



Discount for Wheeling seniors. $2 per ride/8 rides per month. Pre-registration is necessary.

Telephone Reassurance



“Good Morning. How are you this fine day?” asks the volunteer from the Wheeling Pavilion Center. We care about our seniors well being; a volunteer will call Monday through Friday around 9 a.m. each morning to make sure the Senior is doing well.
