2026 Special Census resumes in the summer this year.  Census jobs are available now. 

The Census Bureau is hiring 16 positions to work during the Wheeling Special Census. Positions available include a Special Census Supervisor, 4 Field Supervisors, 3 clerical positions, and 8 Field Representatives. The Village requested a special census due to the community’s growth since 2020.  It is important for residents to respond in order to ensure that the Village is accurately represented and receives its fair share of Local Government Distribution Funds that are used for public safety, street repairs, and other municipal services.
