8.25.17
Beginning at 9:00 am, on the morning of Thursday, August 31st 2017, our watermain contractor, (Trine Construction) will be closing Glenn Avenue at Hintz Road. This road closure will commence on the 31st of August and the road is anticipated to be reopened to all traffic on the morning of September 6th 2017. The traffic will be redirected to Chaddick Drive with local traffic only between Shepard Avenue and the road closure at Hintz Road (please see attached map for more details).
This road closure is needed for the extensive concrete restoration work that needs to take place at this intersection, it is part of our 2017 Watermain Replacement project. Due to the 7 days of curing time that it will take to ensure that the concrete has cured sufficiently and that the new concrete can withstand the exorbitant amount of weight and traffic that the road endures, it is critical that this intersection remains closed for the 7 days.
6.23.17As part of the 2017 Watermain Replacement Project, the contractor will be working at the intersection of Glenn Ave and Hintz Road on June 26th and 27th. The work will require a road closure on Glenn Avenue at the intersection of Hintz Road. The traffic will be redirected to Chaddick Drive with local traffic only between Shepard Avenue and the road closure at Hintz Road. Road closure and detour signs will be placed per IDOT standard.
