Community Engagement Meetings

Community Engagement Meetings (Crime Watch Meetings) are held on the 1st Wednesday of every even-numbered month (February 5, April 1, June 3, August 5, October 7, and December 2) at rotating locations throughout town. Check our social media to learn the next meeting location, or sign up to receive reminder emails for upcoming meetings at: crimeprevention@wheelingil.gov
Come learn about new traffic laws and other traffic related issues for the Wheeling Police Department Traffic Unit.
Monthly Training Topics
Community Engagment Meetings are an opportunity for residents and business owners to meet with Wheeling Police Officers in an effort to solve problems collectively. Area crime statistics are reported, citizen concerns are addressed and methods to resolve these issues are discussed. Meetings end with an informational training topic presented. All members of the community are invited to participate in these open meetings. A Sample of Monthly Training Topics are as follows:
